Cant Add User

Greetings, I am attempting to add a new user but keep received various errors like ‘not logged in’ and ‘couldnt save’. Any advice?
Site: (email visible only to moderators and staff).

Hi there!
Those errors indicate that you login authorization may have expired. Can you try logging out and back into both your WordPress.com account and your website’s back end and see if you have the same issue?

I have logged in and out via normal password/UN and one-click token. This account has been sent to wpcomstaging. Would this be why I can’t access it, and how do I proceed to if it is? Thanks for the response

The site is using a
wpcomstagingURL because the associated Business Plan – which allowed the use of the custom domaindoingcxright.com– had expired back in September 2020.If you need your site to use that domain, you would need to purchase that Business upgrade again (or have the person who originally purchased it repurchase it), then our WordPress.com priority support can help you get things up and running again.

We have some back-links and references still pointing to it. At this point, I just need to create a user and pass the account to the client that owns it to do with what they will. Is there a way for me to do this without resubscribing? I’m sure they likely will resub upon receipt.

That’s a great question. Because the site is missing the Business plan upgrade, and sites on that plan are quite a bit different on the backend to allow for things like SMTP, we’ll need to initiate a ticket for this to get you more specialized help.
