Can’t attach old blog to previous domain

I had a blog in 2017, but didn’t renew my domain in time and another person bought it. I was just able to buy my domain back, but now I can’t attach my old blog to it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I bought the domain through godaddy and was hosting with them. They said they can’t help me because it’s been too many years. I really don’t want to have to rebuild my blog. Has anyone figured out how to attach an old blog to a previous domain? Thank you for any help.

As your blog wasn’t running on the wordpress.com platform, we can’t help you. If you didn’t make a proper backup, the content of your blog is lost forever.
