can't by my domain

I first bought my domain opeargentina.org from wordpress a couple of years ago. I later connected a Wix site to that domain and my WordPress blog went back to its previous domain name. This year I have to re-register my domain through Wix so I cancelled my registration through WordPress. But now, when I try to buy my domain opeargentina.org, I’m told it’s not available.

Hi there. That domain is showing as registered and only expiring on 23 August 2016, so it doesn’t look like you’ve cancelled it.
You also shouldn’t cancel it if you want to keep using it. Cancelled domains don’t become available immediately and there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to register it before someone else does.
If you no longer want it registered with WordPress.com you can simply transfer it to the registrar of your choice. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

My domain does not appear in the “My Domains” section , so I can’t change the name server or transfer the registrar.

Hi, this domain was not renewed this year, and right now the registrar owns it and may release it or sell it. I’ll contact you by email with the available options for trying to get it back again.
To anyone else wanting to use a domain at another provider: do not allow your domain to expire, and do not cancel it. Use these steps to point to the new provider, then use these steps to transfer the registration.
