Can't change default email for account

I’m trying to change the default email for our account, but I keep getting an error message that says “That e-mail address is already being used.” Being used for what? It’s not being used as the default account email. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Never mind! It looks like you can only change the default email address to an address that doesn’t already have a WordPress account. Apparently the only solution is to create a new email address just for this account.

Thanks darnelldibbles! I hadn’t seen that post. But it still looks like we’re stuck having to create a new email address anyway. Either that or the new admin could delete their old user account, which would free up their email addy for our account, but that seems like a drastic thing to do for what should be a simple procedure. It looks like there’s really no good solution.
