can’t change e-mail

I have tried to change the e-mail for my blog but it goes to the old e-mail which is another persons e-mail account. I have tried changing it the way you are supposed to but I does not work I have tried to go to the support page but it is always closed.

Are you changing it under options > general? That is where the “admin” email is changed. Also, until you confirm the change in the email sent to your by wordpress, it will not actually change. Make sure the confirmation email is not caught in your email spam filter.

In some instances, this problem has had to be fixed by staff.

you can change the email. go to General Options, type in a different e-mail, and then save the changes. all your comments, news, and info will go there instead.

I have changed it in the e-mail in the general options but the e-mail account that it sends the confirmation e-mail to ( this is not my e-mail account it is my brother in laws, this is why I am trying to change it.) is not getting a confirmation e-mail, Is there an e-mail address for support because I have gone to the support page quite a few times and it is always temporarily closed.

support [at] wordpress [dot] com. Make sure and include blog URL, your username, your current admin email address and the email address you want to change it to.

I have similar problem, when I change my e-mail address it send confirmation email, I click on the link in the confirmation email, and then it tells me the blog has been deleted which it hasn’t.

Well, I think I’m a bit stupid because I can’t find “General Options” or “Options,” “General” or whatever it is.
Oh, someone PLEASE respond. -
OK never mind, I found it, but I’m having the same problem as mckayak, I won’t get a confirmation email.
I’m trying to go to support, but it’s always closed. -
Check to make sure the email from support isn’t getting caught in your email spam filter.

I seems to have exactly the same problem. I have change the email address in Settings -> General -> General Settings -> email address to another email, I recieve the confirmation for the new email and clicked the link provided and I can see in the page that the new email address is now reflected, then SAVE CHANGES.
Then I tried to use the contact form to send a message (http://pluralsg.wordpress.com/submit-articles) and the old email (kelvinw ATT spamcop DOT net) keeps getting the email instead of the new one which is reflected in the settings above.
Any advise on this?

Sorry, just checked my emails and it seems to be working now.. I guess there is a time lag for this to happen
