Can’t change elements

  Every time I try to change parts of my blog, nothing changes. I had a post and that seems to have disappeared along the way. I wish I could delete everything and start over with the same name/site.

  I liked the free version of this site when I first joined. Customizing was easy about 15 years ago.

  mywitchyjourney.wordpress.com a private blog.

  I want to change the background colors, remove theme(s), remove the image background behind my top image, to get my first post back. It would probably be easier to start over, but if I could and keep the name of the blog…

  There are no posts on that site, and the Trash sub-section is empty too.

  If a post was lost, it would of had to of been deleted, and then the Trash sub-section would of had to of been emptied too. Those are both manual processes, they would of had to of been done with intent.

  Are you sure it wasn’t a page that went missing instead? There are currently 5 pages in the Trash sub-section: https://wordpress.com/support/trash/#restoring-from-trash

  As for backgrounds, those can all be changed via the Customizer: https://mywitchyjourney.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php

  Are you saying that you do that, but no change is reflected?

  Found the missing post. Thank you.

  I would change something, save the change, but the change wasn’t showing…even for something obvious like removing the background image behind the actual picture I want to use.

  Currently, pages with unwanted effects are in the trash.

  Got the background worked out but have an secondary smaller copy of my logo image right below my logo image.

  Hi,

  One of those images is your logo (the small one), while the other one was uploaded as Header Image. You can change or remove both from My Site>Design>Customize. You’ll see a tab with Site Identity, where you can modify the logo and, another one for Header.
