Can’t change email address

    I deleted my former wordpress site more than 30 days ago, but when I try to replace my email address I get a message that this address is already being used. My old address shows as deleted.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there, deleting a WordPress.com site doesn’t delete the account associated with it, unless you deleted the account together with the site (?).

    Did you check whether the other account is still active? If it is, you’ll want to change the email address there first to something else, even if you delete that account, and then you should be able to add it to this account.
