Can't change email address even with confirmation email link

  I desperately need to change my email address as I cannot access the one that I set the blog up with.

  I have gone into the Personal Settings and Account details and have tried to change to a gmail address – it even says there is a pending change – but the wordpress email I get in response to the request simply provides a link to the word press main page. Am I supposed to log in and go back to the Account Details area and update? Well, I tried that and I just keep getting the same email with the same link that doesn’t do anything. So I am just cycling through the same process to no avail.

  Hi Georgina,

  Can you please try logging in to your account first, and then clicking the confirmation link in the email?

  If that doesn’t work, you can also log in to your account, copy the confirmation link from the email, and paste it directly into your browser’s address bar.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
