Can’t change font or font size

Is there a way to change font or font size in the post editor (without resorting to HTML, which I don’t know)? I seem to be stuck with the assigned font and font size in the Twenty Ten theme, with no way to customize them. Thanks again.

Yes, you can use TypeKit Fonts and provided you only use two fonts then it’s free of charge. > Appearance > TypeKit Fonts

Time….I have signed up for the free typekit service and selected 2 fonts but for the life of me (even having gone thru the tutorial step by step) can not make this work for me so I just gave up. Maybe someone should sit down and write a better tutorial or perhaps do a set of screen shots with explainations.

Yup Time read that one too and still no luck but thanks for the suggestion. Maybe the guru’s will see this and offer some info….LOL…well I can hope right?

Seems like the upshot is that there is currently NO way to change fonts or type size in the post editor. But Blogger does have this feature. I want to use WordPress, but this is a feature it really needs.
On this page, I read of tfockler60’s experiences with TypeKit, and also read the involved tips given at http://getook.wordpress.com/2010/01/04/typekit-guide-change-your-fonts/, and at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/does-anyyyyoe-know-how-to-make-typekit-work?replies=43#post-433633.
After looking at all this, I just don’t see much purpose in struggling to patch together this feature somehow on my own. Isn’t WordPress going to offer it?

You’re right. We cannot just click buttons like we do on Blogger blogs here at wordpress.com.

I have yet to hear any Staff member state that the situation will be changing any time soon, if at all.
At present there are three methods we can use to change fonts.
1. Changing fonts in worpress.com blogs – Post by post and page by page

I wish I could change fonts too… I love my theme but I hate the letter, it’s so small !

You CAN change fonts; you need to learn how to do HTML first, though.

The problem is, if you ever change themes, you’ll have to go through it and re-code all the paragraphs by hand if it doesn’t look good on your new theme.

I’ve avoided HTML like the plague. But using the example on this support site, I successfully coded in changes to font, type size and color. Amazing! It’s a bit cumbersome, but I love it. And if I can do it, anyone can do it.

@raincoaster: i am having this problem as well… i would like to change the font colors on my theme (example: “2 comments” text) and i just went to the page you recommended about size and color.
however, i have no idea where to paste the HTML codes! i use HTML in changing each individual post, but cannot configure it on my theme!
help! what am i missing?

You need to change the codes for every single paragraph: open AND close your tags. You can’t do this on stuff that’s part of the theme itself, like the comment count.
You can’t change it theme-wide without the paid CSS upgrade and a solid working knowledge of CSS (because there’s virtually no help for that). If you’ve got a bit of CSS knowledge, test it out in the free preview and, once you’re good enough to ensure that you can make the changes you want, you can buy the upgrade. Don’t do it first, hoping to just ask and get an answer; there are only one or two people around who know CSS in this forum.
