Can't change header image

Hi everyone. I might be missing something obvious, but I have a question to submit to you all after spending way too much time
trying to figure this out by myself. I want to change the main image of my home page, that I assume is called header image. Now, if I try to do it through My Site > Customize > Header Image, it seems like I can only change the image at the top of every blog post, but not the main one. Can you help?
Also, why don’t I have the “Header Media” option like I saw in some recent videos?

2. Are you referring to the image in the background that shows a large TV with 9 players, or are you referring to a different image?When I have these information, I can help further.

Thanks for clarifying. I had a look at your theme. You’re using theme Gateway.
Open WordPress.com Customizer https://wordpress.com/customize and click on the “Header image” section on the left. Change the image to the one you want to change to and make sure you click on the “Publish” button at the top.
Clicking that will ensure your changes to the header image are saved.

Actually, no. This is exactly what I’ve been doing so far and, like I said, it only changes the image on top of every post. But the main image stays the same

When you say “main image” can you confirm which image you are referring to? Can you describe the image, please?
Is this the large flag I see at the top (background) of each blog post?

Main image = large TV with Cam Newton, Ronaldo, Steph Curry, etc…
Image on top of my blog posts = US flag in a football stadium

Gateway was built before Header Media was added as a WordPress feature. If you’d like that option, you might want to check out Twenty Seventeen.

This is the featured image on your homepage. If you open your homepage in the editor, you’ll be able to change the image in the Featured Image section there.
