Can’t change link url for photo gallery

  I have a site built on wordpress for a school and on one of the pages I have a gallery of pictures to display the faculty. I was trying to link the thumbnails to the attachment page, but whenever I click attachment page and save all settings, it defaults back to the image url. I cannot get it to change to the attachment page or any other page.
