Can't change my profile picture: Keep being sent back to confirm wordpress.com account

When I tried to sign in to gravatar, I got a notification that I had to confirm my wordpress.com account by e-mail. After I did, I signed in to wordpress.com to click on my profile picture, which shows an on-hover description: ‘update profile photo’.
Unfortunately when I click it, I am being looped back sign in to gravatar with wordpress.com connect. When I click the button ‘sign in with wordpress.com’ I am once again redirected to a page which states I just received a confirmation e-mail. When I go through this process again, I am once again stuck with the same problem.
Help would be much appreciated: I waited a couple of days hoping this was a temporary error that needed to be fixed, but to no avail! Thank you in advance :)

Hi there,
This happens sometimes and is usually browser-related.
Please clear your browser cache and cookies. After doing that, log into your WordPress.com account, then go to Gravatar.com and click the Log in with WordPress.com button.
After you’re logged into both accounts, try changing your profile picture again.

I am having the same issue. I created my Gravatar 2 days ago and it still hasn’t updated on my wordpress site.

Your account is already verified, so this is not the same issue. The profile picture I see next to your post here is the same image I see uploaded to your Gravatar profile at http://en.gravatar.com/profiles/raeesahc
I don’t see any other images uploaded to that profile.
If you tried to add a different image, it might not have uploaded correctly. You can try adding a new image directly to your gravatar profile at this link:

Thanks for your response and confirming that my account is verified. This is the same profile pic. It seems to have updated on the WordPress site itself but I am still not sure why it hasn’t updated on my website yet. I have added the website to my gravatar profile yet it still shows the unidentified icon on my site.

What is the URL of the site, please? On WordPress.com it can sometimes take a few hours for the profile picture to update as it’s cached on our side and the cache first needs to refresh before the image will change.
If you have a self-hosted WordPress.org site you might need to enable Gravatars in your site’s WP-Admin dashboard. You can find instructions to do that here:

If you do have a self-hosted site and those instructions don’t work, please ask for advice in the WordPress.org forums, as the users there are in a better position to help you with this:

I have checked the above link but everything was already enabled. I unchecked the show avatars box and then checked and saved again.
Still nothing :(

That is indeed a self-hosted site. I’m unable to access your site’s dashboard so there isn’t any way for me to check if there is anything else preventing Gravatar from working. But the users in the self-hosted forums should have experience with this problem.
Please try searching the WordPress.org website for this issue, or otherwise post into the forum there for help.
