Can't change permalink

  I’ve tried to change the static page: https://www.tischlerei-nimtz.de/innenausbau-2/ to https://www.tischlerei-nimtz.de/innenausbau via edititng the permalink on that page. But after saving / confirming it returns to innenausbau-2. site. How can I fix it?

  Hi there,

  This is because URL already exists, you have 2 pages of the same name that is why while it returns innenausbau-2, delete one page and also delete the page from trash permanently if you have uploaded anything with the same name then also this problem occurs.

  The website you require help is a self-hosted WordPress.org site rather than WordPress.com.

  Hi,
  thank you @testingchanel for your quick response.

  My backend shows 9 pages which I’ve published. There are no other pages or drafts that are named the same. There is no trash sign. I assume there is no page in trash, therefore I don’t see the trash sign. Any other suggestions how to change the permalink?

  Thank you for the information about hosted by WordPress.com and self-hosted websites. I will have a look there, too.
