Can’t change template for page

  • Unknown's avatar

I have been trying to change the page template for some of my website’s pages but the drop-down menu only gives me the options “Default template”, “Blank”, and “Blog (Alternative)”. I recently changed my theme from Twenty Fifteen to Twenty Twenty-Three, which has many more templates (404, Archive, Home, Index, Page, Search, Single), but none of them seem to be selectable. I have tried emptying the cache, different browsers, different websites, nothing seems to work…

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

fredericgschneider.com is not hosted here at WordPress.com, but rather with Site Ground. I would recommend contacting Site Ground, as they would be able to assist you in regaining access to the back end of your site:

    https://www.siteground.com/support

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities, but the essential difference is that we don’t have access to all WordPress sites, only ones hosted on our WordPress.com servers. For more information, please see:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
