Can't change title and tagline that came with theme
-
I have changed the site title and tagline and saved it but the old title and tagline that came with the theme still shows on the website. How can I make this change. When I go into settings>general, the new title and tagline is correct, but when I resave it and go back, the old title and tagline is still there. Any ideas on why I can not change this?

Are you talking about the site vwilliams19.wordpress.com? At the moment there’s nothing there but you should be able to set this up without the use of CSS from the dashboard under Settings > General.

Hi @vwilliams1617, it looks like you are using WordPress but you are not hosted here at WordPress.com. For self-hosted WordPress sites such as yours, I would suggest asking for help from the theme author directly or ask in the volunteer-based WordPress.org Themes and Templates forum. If the change at Settings > General isn’t working, then it may be that you have to change it from within your theme settings instead. The Theme author can verify that for you.

I took a quick look, and on your site, the site title and tagline are an image, so I would suggest looking in your theme settings (perhaps at Appearance > Theme Options if it exists in your theme) It is probably listed under site logo or something like that. If you can’t find it, ask the theme designer or perhaps look around their site for some documentation.
