Can't change wordpress password
-
The site switched owners… I want to change my current password for this site but the previous seller doesn’t know how to confirm the password change?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
Please take a look at this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/
There is also a option to recover the password without the e-mail address (Assisted Account Recovery).
Cheers!

Hi andherakayamrahe1709,
happynewyear2018wish.com is not hosted at WordPress.com.
This support forum is for sites hosted at WordPress.com. Your question is about a self-hosted WordPress blog and you’ll find help at the WordPress.org forums.
If you don’t understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may find this information helpful.

Hi,
A few years ago I created this blog http://fruttisskruttis.wordpress.com but then my email got hacked and as time passed I forgot about the blog. Yesterday a friend contacted me about this and as I tried to log in I realized I couldn’t. Now I’m a bit frustrated because I want to end the account/blog. The only thing I have that can assure you that the blog belongs to me are a bunch of different emails and passwords that I might have used several years ago and the photos that I published.
How do we proceed?

Hi Frida,
If you don’t have access to the email associated with that WordPress.com account in order to help you gain access to it, we’ll need one of the following things:
* A transaction ID from a recent paid upgrade to the account. You can see more details about this here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
* The WordPress.com account activation link, which we sent to your email address when you first registered with us.
You can read more here:

Hi,
Thanks for answering but I don’t have any of that… and I can’t do anything else to show you that it’s my blog?
-
Hi Frida,
If you aren’t able to provide an email from the email address with which the blog was registered, a transaction ID, or the original activation link, I’m afraid we won’t be able to help you recover the account.
We have a strict policy in place to protect our users from third parties who might try to use our support system to gain access to other users’ accounts.
If you want to start blogging again, you can create a new account by signing up here:

I understand. But what will happen to a blog that nobody updates for years? There is really nothing I can do?

But what will happen to a blog that nobody updates for years?
It will remain online for as long WordPress.com is online.
There is really nothing I can do?
I’m afraid not, and I have already explained that to you.
