Cant check out (or add new credit card)

    Hello!

    I am looking to build a new website and I try to buy a premium template as well as the WordPress Premium upgrade. To do so, I need to add the billing information of my new employer and, therefore, a new credit card in a new country (I recently moved from Canada to the USA).

    I dont know if this is what is causing the problem I am facing, but for two days now, every time I try to check out or add said new credit card, I get the “Something has gone wrong with our servers, and we’ve just been notified of the problem” message… Any idea why and, more importantly, what can I do to move forward at this point? I need my upgrades purchased ASAP!

    Hi there,

    I’m so sorry for the trouble! Can you describe the exact steps you’re taking to try to purchase the WordPress.com Premium plan and premium theme? That will help me track down where the error is occurring so we can get that working for you.

    Also, which premium theme are you trying to purchase?

    I was able to work around the problem by creating a new account, buying, buying my upgrades with said account and then making my initial account admin. So I guess this is resolved through another mean.

    I think the problem probably had to do that my initial account was in Canadian dollars instead of USD – its always at the point where WordPress said it would change into USD that it “crashed”. I was trying to buy the premium wordpress subscription as well as the Maisha theme.
