can’t choose file off computer for custom header

I chose a template where you can use a custom header. I go down to the buttom that says “choose file” and there is a crop box? I can’t seem to press the button? Anyone know what is going on? I am on Safari, not sure if it is related to that.

It quite probably is related to you using Safari.

Unfortunately there are a few known problems with Safari and wp.com. If you can I would download Firefox for Mac and try it with that instead.

Let us know how you get on!

There is a subtle work-around to this feature conflict.
1.) In Safari, pull up the ‘Preferences’ panel (cmd-,)
    2.) Choose the ‘Advanced’ pane.
3.) At the ‘Universal Access’ section, make sure “Press tab to highlight each item on a page” is NOT checked.
4.) Login to your WordPress account, navigate to ‘Presentation’ and choose “Custom Image Header”.
5.) Press tab once, then the ‘Upload’ button will highlight. Press tab once more, and the ‘Choose File’ button which is underneath the working area will select.
6.) Press ‘Spacebar’ and it with pop up the ‘Choose’ dialog fore you to find your file on your Mac.
7.) After that has been completed the ‘Choose File’ button should read the name of the file chosen.
8.) Press ‘Shift-Tab’ then ‘Spacebar’ to activate the ‘Upload’ button, or just click.
9.) When your upload is complete you will be provided with a marquee for cropping the image to another size, if you want. If you want it fullsize, select the whole area.
