Can't close my website or contact you

    I have been trying to shut down my website and close my domain with you guys for over 3 months. Ever since I clicked on close on account, all of a sudden your back-end of the website won’t allow me to click anything. I can’t even contact the chat support either cause it’s blank. I have screenshots as proof if you need me to send it via email. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible. I already cancelled my credit cards so you can’t force-charge me either for renewal when I’ve been asking for help for a while.

    You won’t be able to close your account down until you remove the domain registration for lockandkeyent.com – as long as there’s an active upgrade under your account, you will be prevented from closing the account.

    Looking at your last contact with support via live chat, we advised you that you needed to transfer your domain to another domain registrar.

    Cancelling a domain will not make it available for purchase elsewhere immediately – it enters a redemption period which can take anywhere from 80 days up to a year to complete. This process is not controlled by WordPress.com but by ICANN and you run the risk of losing the domain if another party would register it before you could.

    Therefore, if you still want to use your domain, we strongly recommend you do a domain transfer – that’s the only way to ensure you won’t lose control of the domain. You can follow the steps here to get started:

    To add: your domain is past the 60 day “lock” window, so you should be free to transfer that domain out.

    You need to do steps here at WordPress.com and at your new domain registrar in order to complete this process. If you run into any trouble on the WordPress.com side of things, please post an update here and Staff can look into this for you.

    How do you expect me to try anything when your wordpress website doesn’t work. I can’t send you guys any proof as you don’t have an attach button or an email address that I can contact. Everything is “noreply” It’s like you guys are doing this on purpose. I can’t DO ANYTHING until YOU fix YOUR website. I have access but every page on the back end is frozen. What’s your email address so I can send you the proof. Or email me (email visible only to moderators and staff) where I can actually reply and get some help. This is ridiculous.

    I can’t do anything. Your back end is frozen at all times and won’t allow me to do anything at all. I want to send you the proof but you guys have nothing but “noreply” or NO customer service option unless it’s through your broken back end. This is honestly ridiculous.

  • First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/

    If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

    If it is, please do these two things:

    1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.

    2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

    Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
