Can't comment, despite being *apparently* fully logged-in to WP and Gravitar

I have an account here on WordPress. One day, it suddenly stopped working, and I haven’t been able to post on any blog since.
My WordPress name is “nameofthepen”.
When I sign in, it *looks* like I’m signed in. My avatar shows up, my New Posts notice lights up, everything looks fine until I start to post, or to click my “New Post” notice.
Then, when I start to post, and hit “Post Comment”, it goes to a white screen with a notice “You cannot post this comment”, or something similar.
When I click the banner up top right to see my new messages or replies, it goes to yet another white screen with an endlessly spinning circle indicating a failure to load.
Could someone PLEASE have mercy upon me, and help get me out of Commenting Purgatory?

Hmm… Well, that’s interesting. What browser are you using? Have you tried to access your blog through a different browser or device?

Wow, that was fast! :)
No, not yet. I’m on Firefox, and haven’t yet accepted the latest update.
I’m resisting going to IE to test it, but I think that’s logically my next step.
I’ll go try it, and report back.
