Can’t Comment On Another’s Blog

  I’m trying to add a comment to another person’s blog. When I click on the comment link, a page requiring my username and password is required. It is a WordPress page. Should not the username and password I used to enter my blog be accepted.

  The other person’s blog is also a WordPress blog.

  I’m sure to be missing something very elementary, but I just can’t see the error of my ways.

  Please provide the blog URL on which you are trying to comment? It may be hosted externally.

  That is a self-hosted blog. Your wordpress.COM user name and password won’t work there. Take a look at this sticky https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1
