Can’t comment when logged out

Mac 10.4.11; FF 2.0
I commented on mark.wordpress.com twice. Logged in OK, logged out, no comment appears.

Still Akismet deal? like: [resolved] I cannot leave any comments on any blogs! timethief

Logged in Akismet more or less ignores you, but when you are logged out it doesn’t. I found your comment while logged out in my Akismet spam folder and “despammed” you. I have no idea why it thinks you are spam.

What I would do, is to let anyone know (if you have contact information) on a wordpress.com blog where you have left a comment that did not show up to check their spam filter for your comment.

Also, I would suggest leaving a comment (while not logged in) or three over the next day on your blog, or even on my test blog and I or you can despam yourself. It sometimes takes a day or so for the despamming to make it all the way through Akismet’s servers.

One thing I’ll offer is that the bulk (probably close to 80%) of spam comments I’ve been getting on my blog over the past three weeks have gmail email addresses so it may be that Akismet has tightened up on comments with gmail email addresses.
