Can’t compose, edit, or access dashboard from MacBook
-
For several days I have not been able to create a new post, edit an old post, or access my dashboard on either of my blogs from my MacBook. Everything works fine using the Jetpack app on my iPhone, but that’s an inconvenient way to blog. Is there a fix for this?

I’m using a MacBook Pro (mid-2015) that is still running Big Sur. My version of Safari is 14.1.2. It won’t support the latest OS and I’ve been afraid to try and update to Monterey for fear it would crash.

@ksrgmck @mysteryofthesardine Thanks for the extra details! I think the issue may be the outdated OS/Safari versions. Safari updates are tied to the OS version you’re using and the most recent version of Safari is 17.2.1 (Sonoma), so it may be out of date with regards to updates to the software.
Both the editor and WordPress.com regularly receive updates. Additionally, there are continuous updates to coding languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP used in website creation. It’s more likely that an update to one of these languages that led to the issue.
Consider trying the Chrome browser. It can be independently updated, regardless of your MacOS version. This will help confirm or rule out compatibility issues with older Safari versions.
Let us know how this approach works for you!
