Can’t connect to my own account

    Hey everyone,
    I recently got back to my blog using the wordpress.com domain (I used to have a .com before), but after I closed this .com one, I can’t login at my own wordpress anymore. When I try, there’s this weird message that says my access is denied because I don’t have the privilege to access the dashboard and I need to ask the administrator to invite me to do so. But well, I am the administrator and when I login in using my email (instead of my username) straight on wordpress’ website, there’s NOTHING in it. No blog at all. No posts, nothing. It’s a blank canvas and I cannot change anything.

    Can someone please help me? My blog is still online and I cannot access it :(

    Hi there!

    Are you referring to your site mapsandsnacks.com? If so, it is not hosted on WordPress.com, it looks like it was connected to your WordPress.com account with Jetpack but that connection is broken.

    You’ll want to reach your host directly to get the site working again and once that’s done, you’ll be able to reconnect Jetpack and access it again from your WordPress.com account.

    Hi!

    Yes, it was hosted on wordpress.com at first, then I paid another hosting company when I had my own domain. It was connected to them. Later on I canceled with them and went back to my wordpress but now I cannot login to my account anymore. I have no idea why! Actually I CAN login, but when I get to my dashboard there’s nothing there. My blog is not there and there’s nothing I can do.

    I can’t remember having the Jetpack before. What should I do about it now?

    I already sent an email to my old hosting company and they said they have nothing to do with this matter anymore and they cannot help me. The only way is to reach WordPress customer service or so. But how? I can’t see any emails or any direct contact with them (only this forum).

    I don’t mind losing my content, I just want my URL back :(

    Ah, I understand. The site mapsandsnacks.wordpress.com was created using another account, kitschchic. Is this the account that you’re accessing?

    If you don’t remember the password, you can reset it from https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
