Can't connect to wordpress.com blogs in a specific computer
-
I’m having a strange problem with a specific computer (Windows 7) in which I simply can’t access WordPress[dot]com sites, but I can access the WordPress Main site, and I can login my account. The problem seems to be with other sites using subdomains (my blogs and other user blogs), they simply doesn’t load.
– I tried using different browsers: Opera, Sleipnir, IE11, Waterfox and nothing.
– I already tried to connect using a VirtualBox WindowsXP and nothing (on the same PC tha has the problem).
– I changed the DNS settings, and nothing.
– I used OperaTurbo and nothing
– I checked the hosts file and it’s on default config.I can access using my through Linux and Windows on my notebook, and on my Mobile phone, so it’s not related with the domain or my account.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

b – I have cookies and js enabled

6 – I think the problem is related to my ISP DNS, because I can access the blogs via shared connection from my cellphone (Oi Mobile Carrier).BUT the STRANGE part is that even using my ISP (TIM 3g) I CAN access the WordPress.com main site, and I CAN login on my dashboard, but ANY SUBDOMAIN (ANY blogs or subdomain related to wordpress, like FORUMS.WORDPRESS.COM) does not load (i’m using another connection at this moment).
I already tried change several DNSs, and already tried to flush the DNS cache, but the problem still occurs.

BUT the STRANGE part is that even using my ISP (TIM 3g) I CAN access the WordPress.com main site, and I CAN login on my dashboard, but ANY SUBDOMAIN (ANY blogs or subdomain related to wordpress, like FORUMS.WORDPRESS.COM) does not load (i’m using another connection at this moment).
I recommend that you contact your ISP, and notify them about this issue. Let’s try ruling out an ISP-level block first.

Thank you for your help… But I will use proxies until I change my ISP, in some weeks.
Recently I tested other tools, other DNS, ping and traceroute and no success again. I guess, TIM is by some reason blocking access to LB.WORDPRESS.COM…
TIM Brazil has a REALLY BAD support, and I will not lose my time anymore talking to that crappy service/isp.
Thanx again.

tried again a ping/tracert, and it worked. Two minutes later, tried again, and it doesn’t work again.
in resume, I can access the subdomains in about 10% of the time only.
goodbye

I’m sorry you’re not having luck with your ISP. Please keep me posted once you switch your ISP. :)
