Hi, i’ve created a wordpress site and i’m using localhost. I’ve tried to connect monster insights to my wordpress account but it says “Monsterinsights does not support localhost installs for technical reasons at this time. Please test Monsterinsights on staging or online development/testing servers. Exit point: 12”
i’ve also tried installing jet pack but it says my wordpress accounts offline. I’ve also been getting 522 errors so i‘cave done something wrong but i’m not sure what.

    Hi there,

What is the URL for the site you’re referring to ?

    Thank You! :)

  • Hi @starxprojector, actually these forums are for the sites hosted here on our services.

A localhost installation won’t have a public internet connection, typically. Jetpack has some offline options, but most features won’t work with a copy of WordPress on your own computer. 522 errors are also connection issues, which make sense if your computer isn’t a public server.

If you’re ready to go live, though, you’d be welcome to host here. Here’s the difference between our hosting and the free software:

You can choose whichever works best for you. If you need more help with the free WordPress software, rather than our service, head over to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ — they have a friendly community, too.

    Cheers!
