can't copy&paste anymore

    Dear WordPress team,
    I have a problem, since today I can’t copy&paste anymore if I wanna write a new blog post. Its possible to copy&paste if I wanna add for example a text widget on my sidebar. But if i wanna copy and paste while writing a new post it won’t work, and it did before. How come? Could you help me please?

    We were having issues with the copy and paste function. However, that should be fixed now. Can you give it a try and let me know if you’re having trouble still?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for confirming. Can you try a few things for me?

    First, can you try clearing your browser’s cache as explained here?

    Second, can you try another browser and let me know if this is localized to one browser or an issue across all of them?

    Hi Jeremey,
    I cleared my browsers cache but its still not working. (Safari) I tried it with Google Chrome and it was working to copy and paste only not to make a bigger blank between the paraghrapes, it worked all the time with my older posts but my newest post i cant make any paragraphes also not with google chrome do you know why?

    Hi Jennifer,

    Perhaps I’m misunderstanding what you’re looking to do. Can you provide a few more details about what you mean when you say “not to make a bigger blank between the paraghrapes”? Are you trying to space out your text a bit more?

    Also, could you let me know whether you’re creating your post in the Text Editor or the Visual Editor? The differences are explained here:

    Hi Jeremey, yes I’m sorry didn’t know how to explain it. I’m trying to space out my text and it worked on every other only with the post ‘I’m bringing sexy back’ it wont work.

    Actually I create my post in the Text Editor but I tried it as well with the Visual Editior but it didnt work. Its good if I edit it but if I view my post its not.

    Oh an Jeremey copy&paste isnt working. Neither with safari, google chrome or on my phone -.-

    Hi Jennifer,

    It looks like you deleted the “I’m Bringing Sexy Back” post. Could you potentially restore it so I can take a look or perhaps start a new test post so we can see why this isn’t functioning properly?

    Regarding the copy and paste, thanks for providing the additional information! Three additional questions:

    1. When you’re adding and editing new posts, does the URL in the address bar indicate you’re on your Dashboard, which would look like this:

      http://jeremeyduvall.com/wp-admin/….

      Or within the WordPress.com editor, which would look like this?

      https://wordpress.com/post

    2. Are you using the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + V) or right-clicking and clicking “Paste”?
    3. Where are you copying the content from before trying to paste?

    Hey Jennifer,

    Thanks for sending the link! So, if I understand correctly, you’re trying to increase the spacing between the lines on that page. Correct? If so, you can just place your cursor at the end of a line and press “Enter”. Just make sure you’re in the Visual Editor first. Can you let me know if that works?

    Alternatively, you could use the method outlined here:

    As for the copy and paste issue, this helps quite a bit. It seems like the problem is localized to Safari on your side as you’ve had success in Chrome. I just tried Safari on my side and this seems to work when I use Command + V although I’m not having success with the right-clicking method either. When you’re trying the Command + V method, can you make sure you’re actively in the Editor meaning you’ve clicked on a line and have a blinking cursor to add text?
