Can't create a Category Description

    When creating a new category (in this case, a top-level or parent=none category), I enter or edit a Category Description and click “update”, but nothing appears on my Categories page. If I try to edit the Category again, the Description has gone back to blank. The box right under the “Categories” page title at the top says “Category not updated”. I only need to see the description on the Categories page; I don’t need it to appear on the blog.

    What am I doing wrong?
