I have been trying for hours, but can’t figure out how to add a child theme. I’ve read http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes#How_to_Create_a_Child_Theme and also been to several forums and can’t figure it out. Please help me.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Themes can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com. That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org. You can find out more about customizing your WordPress.com blog’s appearance here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
On WordPress.com we offer over 210 themes, both free themes and premium themes created by leading theme companies. You can view all of our themes in the Theme Showcase and filter them by specific criteria under “Find a Theme.”
You can also post suggestions for new themes we might add on our public themes forum:

OK, thank you for your reply. The reason I was asking is because I was trying to insert my company logo into the title without it getting ruined if the theme is updated. What do you recommend I should do?

Hi there – I see you have your logo in the header here, which is the best way to do this: http://stratusguiding.com/
If you switch themes, you might have to set this as your header image again (because different themes have different sized header areas) but the image file itself will still be there in your Media Library, so you can just set it as your header once more. Does this answer your question?
