Can't create blog

  Almost @irishbrigid! If you type something in the box, then bring up that inspect element thing, then click Debugger I think we’ll have what we need.

  Honestly, there’s so much in the Debugger panel that I’m not sure what corresponds to the text box.

  I think the problem is that Firefox version 22 is quite old now. The latest version is 46. Would you consider downloading a different web browser like Opera or Google Chrome? You can see the which browsers we support here:

  I realise you just want to get your site up and running and start blogging so if it helps, I can create the site for you at this end so you’ve got a site to start working on. Would you like me to do that? I can create irishbrigid.wordpress.com for your account. Just let me know.

  Considered it, looked at the options, and none of the latest versions support Windows XP, which is what I’m using.

  If you create the site, will I be able to blog without problems? Because there’s just no way I’m going to be able to afford a new computer any time soon and that’s what it’d take to run a newer operating system that’ll support a newer browser.

  I think so but I can’t be 100% sure. At the very least you should be able to use our old Dashboard. In any case, you’ve got nothing to lose by giving it a try because it doesn’t cost anything to create the site and no-one else can create that site because it’s reserved for your account.
