Can't create categories

  Hi, our host provider has change our database from one host to other. After a lot of problems the web site works but all the categories and tags have dissapeared. I triying to create new categories but a message appear ‘ It was not possible introduce the therm in the database’
  Hosting support tell me that is a wordpress plugin problem, I’m sure that it’s not. Please, Can anybody tell me where or what is the error?
