cant create child theme

  Hey. I have a domain at one.com and created through that a wordpress site and customized a theme (parent theme), for a school task, and the task says that I shall create a child theme to that site, but something is wrong, I dont know what it is, I try to create a child theme but it seems that something is wrong with the css code of the parent theme. hope you cant help me
