cant create site

I cant seem to add a site to my profile. I follow the steps 1-3 and then when I click post it does nothing and it does not add the site to my profile. I have no website currently and I would like to have one. Please advise me on how to fix this. THanks.

Not sure what steps you’re referring to. A new website isn’t created by posting. Have you tried to register a new site at the sigin up page: https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?

I have signed up. When I click my site it says:
“You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.Would you like to start one?”
I click on “create site” and it begins the 3 steps
step 1: give a site address, I do this. Then I get a green checkmark and continue.
step 2: find a custom address, i.e/ pay for a domain. I select no thanks and continue.
step 3: Select a plan. I select free.
Now here is where the problem is. It tells me “Thanks for signing up for WordPress.com.” and it gives me the option to “start a post”, “customize your site”, “add a plan”, and “If you want you can skip these steps. You can come back to this page any time.”
No matter which option I click on it becomes none responsive and when I go back to check if the newly created site is in “my sites” it tells me I have no sites.
I hope that this description is more clear than my initial one. I am essentially not able to create a site and I do not know why or how to fix this.

I don’t know if new sites are immediately included at “My Sites,” but the non-responsive errors to “start a post,” “customize,” etc. are a problem. I’ll tag the thread for staff attention.

Where do you see “Start a Post?” I’m unfamiliar with that option. Are you referring to a self-hosted WordPress.org account?

Yes, I would appreciate some staff attention. I really do not know what is happening here and I cant find a solution.

I tried doing this last night and a couple of times today, so even if it takes some time to add the site it should be there by now. It is not though.

I have not heard anything from support, cant find a contact email or number, and I am officially stuck not being able to create a website at all with wordpress. this has been going on for 48 hours, I am not impressed. I hope that this can be resolved somehow. Any helpful comments would be greatly appreciated as would some staff help. Thanks.

Hi dfel2407, I’m really sorry about this! I just tested out the steps you mentioned, and I ran into the same problem. I’m reporting this to our team to investigate why that isn’t working correctly.
In the meantime, you can create your site using our older form — make sure you’re logged in to your WordPress.com account, and then visit this link:
https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/
