can't create tppmaui.wordpress.com

  I’m logged in
  I go to create new site (or something)
  It asks me to pick a theme
  I pick a theme
  It goes to step 3 where my only choice is to BUY a domain – no ability to create a free .wordpress.com site.

  No choice to skip. No live link to choose ‘free example.wordpress.com’ option.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  This has nothing to do with mauisierraclub.org. The system added that.

  BTW, I logged out of my existing account and created my site with a new email. Don’t know why I couldn’t do the same from my existing site.
