can’t cut and paste images

  Why can’t I simply cut and paste pictures to the blog?

  WordPress does not support cutting an image from an image editing program and pasting into a post or page. It would take a huge amount of code to be able to do that.

  An example would be screenshots. I tried to cut and paste screenshots, but could not, or whne i try to copy and save an image from another site to place on my blog post, it doesn’t appear. Well, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t so it’s very much trial and error.

  So, we can only upload images in jpeg format?

  There are a few image formats we can upload, but you can’t skip the upload step.

  If you try to do the cut and paste to use an image from another site, what you’re doing is hotlinking and it’s considered very, very bad form. You’re using their bandwidth, forcing them to host the image while you and all your readers use it. It’s better to download to your computer, upload into your webspace, and link back to the source to give credit. Some people have had so many images hotlinked that it’s killed their accounts. It happened to me.
