cant delele original home page

  hello I cant figer out how to delete the original home page I set up a new static one but I cant get rid of the first. I have tryed everything I can find on google but cant find a solution. please be as detailed as you can I am like a 5-year-old with a computer. thanks

  Create a custom menu and then include only the pages you wish to have in that custom menu. That is the easiest way and you will find that the custom menu gives you a lot of flexibility including dropdown menus, you can put categories, tags and even posts into the menu, and even custom links if you wish.

  sorry for being a bit dumb when it comes to this stuff. I followed the directions you gave me and they were great but it did not work the original home page is still there even when I did not check the box for it.

  Did you select your custom menu in the pulldown in the “theme location” module at upper left of the custom menu page?
