Can't delete account!

  The official way to delete (rather vacate) an account is to ‘delete all personal information, then create a random password and log out’. This in itself is laughable, why not just provide a ‘delete’ button? But it even doesn’t work! I just cannot delete my personal information, as the username window will keep poppig up with the prompt, username must have at least 4 letters. WTF, WordPress??? You just don’t want to let us go, do you? So you can boast billions of ‘active users’? Again, WTF????

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted for security reasons (impersonation etc.). If you wish to leave WordPress.com and unlink yourself from that account you can change the username and email address to something else (not leave it blank).
