Can’t Delete An Old Site I Created With WordPress

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

This is Michael A. Ayele sending this message though I now go by W. You may call me W. I am contacting you for the purpose of deleting a website I created with WordPress a few years ago. The link to that site is as follows.: https://associationfortheadvancementofcivilliberties.wordpress.com/

This website is very much outdated. I have in the past tried to remove it from various Internet Search Engines (ISE) it keeps popping up on even though I don’t remember submitting a sitemap for it. I’m no longer using the email I created the website with. Can you help me recover my account so I can delete it? Thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for your message. I am in receipt of it.

As previously noted, the website is over 6 years old and outdated. Truthfully, I don’t recollect what the password for that website is. Would you have it on file? Is it not possible for WordPress to manually remove it since it has very little content of value and was far from being finished?

    Hello,

Thank you for your message. I am in receipt of it.

I have tried to reset the password with the links you provided. However, I was asked to provide either [1] a transaction ID, [2] an activation URL or key, [3] two factor authentication code.

As you may be aware, I had chosen the free plan of WordPress to create a website for the Association for the Advancement of Civil Liberties (AACL). Thus, I am unable to provide WordPress with this information.

As I have previously informed WordPress, the website I am trying to have removed is over 5 years old. Since, I don’t have the email address I previously used to create the website, I also don’t have an activation URL or key. I don’t believe two factor authentication code was enabled for that website.

Is there no way for WordPress to manually remove an inactive website that was published without being completed finished? Is there no way for WordPress to manually remove an inactive website that was created on it’s Free Plan? Is there no way for WordPress to provide me with a new generated password for the website so that I could remove it? Could published websites on WordPress have a presence on Internet Search Engines (ISE) such as Google, Bing, Yahoo etc even if no sitemap was submitted for them?
