can’t delete files from media library

  I’m having problems deleting files from the media library. Just keep getting the message “no cheating allowed here”. I’ve just updated to IE8 – not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any help from anyone much appreciated.

  Yeah I’m trying to change the theme, but it keeps giving me that same “no cheating allowed here” message.

  I’m getting it when trying to delete a page, and the page doesn’t delete.

  Thank you. There is a strange error going around today that we can’t really pin down. Try using Firefox instead, or changing your settings: I believe IE8 has a “compatibility mode” that will fix this problem, so try that.

  WordPress.com support reports that this problem in respect to IE8 is now fixed.
