Can’t delete old blog
-
I made a blog page when I was 13 and have since deleted the email address I used to make that account and that blog. That email address had the only information that I could’ve used to prove ownership of the account, and I am unable to log in again. Is there anyway I can delete the blog or privately contact someone at WordPress? Thanks.

Hi,
If you don’t have the original email used to set up the account, you can use the following information to gain access:
– A transaction ID for any upgrades purchased for the account:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/transaction-id/
- The account activation link which we sent to your email when you first registered. You can use this information in the account recovery form:
If you aren’t able to provide the original email, transaction ID or account activation link, it isn’t possible to recover the account.
WordPress has strict policies to protect its users from third parties who might be trying to access users’ accounts.
All the best.

Hi,
Appreciate your prompt reply. I have the email address of the original account but none of the other information that is requested on the account recovery page, so I’m unable to submit the request. Is there someone I can speak to to verify my identity? I have fairly unique circumstances based on the information contained in the page that would allow me to prove that that’s my account. Thanks again

Hi,
You mentioned
I made a blog page when I was 13 and have since deleted the email address I used to make that account and that blog.
If you do have access to the original email account, you can recover the account here:
I’ve added the modlook tag to this post. A Staff member will assist you shortly.
Thank you for your patience.

Hi there,
What is the address of the site you are trying to access?
We cannot accept any information added to a site as verification of ownership. Only the types of information specified on our account recovery page can be used for that purpose, and if you can’t provide that information, we cannot give you access. We do not make exceptions in this regard.

I’m not asking for access to edit the page. I just need it to be deleted as it contains sensitive private information on the about page including my birth date, my private home and cell phone numbers, and my non-public email address. As per WordPress’s own User Guidelines and Terms of Service, the webpage can be taken down. I have reported the site to WordPress but haven’t received a response.
Copied and pasted from the report a site page:We consider the publication of certain information to be a privacy violation. Information that we consider to be private include:
Social Security or national ID numbers (e.g. passport).
Credit card numbers.
IP addresses.
Unlisted/non-public physical addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers.
Birth dates.
Passwords.
Unauthorized, private nude images.Second, the website contains a foolproof verification of my identity as the About Me page lists my other email address–the one with which this WordPress account that I am currently using is registered. If you need to, you’re welcome to send me a verification email to this account, and I’m happy to prove that it’s my email address.
Thanks again for your help.

If we can’t give you access without verification of ownership, we most definitely cannot delete the site without that.
As per WordPress’s own User Guidelines and Terms of Service, the webpage can be taken down. I have reported the site to WordPress but haven’t received a response.
Those terms apply when someone else publishes your information on a site without your consent, not when you willingly publish your information on your own page.
If you’ve submitted a ticket with our terms of service team, please be patient while waiting for a reply from them. We do not help with terms of service issues in the public forums.

Information published on a website is not proof of anything, as anyone who knows that email address can add it to any site on the web – that won’t give you an ownership claim over those sites either.

I am unable to provide you with information necessary for you to conclude that this is indeed my site. So you must treat the page as if it’s another author. Also please find me a quote in your terms of service that support your distinction. This is private information, and I would like it taken down. If necessary, I will pursue legal recourse. I would like to speak with a higher up or be contacted privately to discuss further.
