Can't delete original domain name

I originally created a blog with cmoflaherty.wordpress.com. Now I have changed this to thegreenskinny.wordpress.com. Unfortunately, the first website is also still present- how do I permanently remove this? Thank you in advance for any help!

I suggest you consider not deleting the blog. You can make the blog “private” because you may want to use it again one day in the future, and/or you can use it as a backup blog. Once deleted blog URLs here are not recycled. That’s why it takes ignoring 3 warnings and then clicking a verfication link in an email in order to delete a blog.
