Can't delete site

  Hello! I’m trying to delete my WordPress.com site, and have followed all the directions on the support page.

  I’ve tried to send the confirmation email twice, checked my spam folder, and confirmed the email on file is correct, but the email to confirm deletion of the site still isn’t arriving.

  Any advice? Thank you!

  If you aren’t getting the email, I can delete the site for you.

  If you are sure you want to delete, please confirm the URL of the site you want deleted and that you understand this is a permanent and irreversible action. We will not be able to recover you content after the deletion. You will not be able to reuse the URL for the site.

  Hi Liz,

  Thank you for following up. Before I go ahead and delete, I have one question: will the site still show up on Google search results after deletion?

  I’m basically trying to get this delete to function like a 301 redirect, but don’t need to worry about transferring search rank to our main site, because our test site never had any traffic.

  If it will disappear from Google, then I’d like to go ahead with the deletion and can confirm the url then. Thank you so much!

  It will disappear from Google eventually, but like most things with Google it won’t be instantaneous. It can take weeks for cached sites to be forgotten by Google. Once that happens though, you’ll be in the clear.

  Thank you for clarifying! In that case, I’d like to go ahead with the deletion. The url is:
  testfoodsite.wordpress.com

  I understand that this is a permanent and irreversible action, that you will not be able to recover content after the deletion, and I will not be able to reuse the URL for the site.

  If it’s not too much trouble, would you mind sending a confirmation email once the deletion has taken place? Thank you!

  Sorry, one more thing. I see that you are an administrator on the blog, but not the owner. Only the owner can delete the site. If you could have the owner post here we can proceed.
