Can't delete the site
-
Hello there,
I’m trying to delete the site, but it says I have to cancel the premium upgrades first. I read some of the answers from the Forum and it seems like I need to log into the account that owns the upgrades. Is there other way to delete it without log into the owner account?
Thanks a lot!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you consulted this support doc at Deleting a site with upgrades https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/#deleting%C2%A0a-site-with-upgrades
it seems like I need to log into the account that owns the upgrades. Is there other way to delete it without log into the owner account?
Yes and No.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard. The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with the actual blog’s name in that URL.
After the blog’s owner logs in clicking this link should display all blogs registered under the same username account, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If the blog’s owner does not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then they need to follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
If the log-in information is lost they need to visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you do not have the required access check each and every possible email address and account and are not successful gaining access to the blog(s) then you must complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff, and provide proof ownership, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access.
Support Staff cannot breach the privacy policy and provide the log-in information. You have to provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff to gain access https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
If you cannot provide proof ownership to Account Recovery Staff, so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums, which are available to everyone with internet access, then you have reached a dead end.

Thank you, timethief.
It seems like I’m assigned as Administrator already. But when I clicked on Manage Purchase, it asked me to Upgrade now. Isn’t it weird? -
Did you or did you not register the underlying wordpress.COM site and purchase the domain mapping upgrade for it?
I suspect the answer is no. Contact the person who is the actual owner of the site please.

The person is no longer working with us and her email is been deactivated. Do you know if there’s any way I can contact Staff from WordPress?

Contacting Staff will not resolve this issue.
Companies, groups and organizations of any kind do not own blogs.
Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
The actual owner of the blog has to take action. As you are not the site’s owner, you have to contact them so they can transfer the blog and upgrades to another username account.

Hi there,
Just to reiterate what @timethief said, there is absolutely no way that we can cancel or transfer an upgrade without the owner’s consent. Especially with a domain registration as in the case of http://rtaacademy.wordpress.com/, we must get the request from the user who registered the domain, as domains are considered legal property and we would open ourselves up to lawsuits from the owner should we cancel a domain without their consent.
Additionally, you also won’t be able to delete the site even if the domain were cancelled, as only the site owner can delete it.
Please try to get in contact with the owner and ask them to transfer the site to you, as @timethief explained above, or to post here to request the domain cancellation, the I’d be happy to help.
