Can’t delete upgrades to delete site

    Our site used to have a domain (from Godaddy) pointing to it. But that domain has stopped connecting for a few years. Still, we keep being charged the auto-renewing domain mapping subscription. When we tried to cancel the domain mapping, it seemed that it went through but the confusing thing is we keep being charged.

    Having this “active paid upgrade” is stopping us from being able to delete the site. Support seems to be completely AI and they tell us to talk to a human I need to have a Paid Plan, which isn’t what our “paid upgrade” belongs to.

    Solved! Apparently, the team member who purchased the upgrade was the only user who had the power to delete the site, even after they cancelled the upgrade successfully. So that’s your takeaway, probably.

    Hi there! Glad you solved the issue. Yes, that’s correct, only the site owner can delete the site. Other users on the site may have subscriptions on the site, but those are separate from site ownership.
