Can't Delete Widgets

  I have gone to Appearance>Widgets and deleted all of my widgets, but still Recent Entries, Search it! and Links are there. My dashboard says they’re gone though. Ideas?

  When you “delete all Widgets” you are left with the default Widgets that the Theme Designer put in the Theme –

  to have no Widgets show, insert a plain Text Widget with nothing in it – that should cause the Default Widgets to go away and the blank Text Widget to show nothing.
