Can’t delete widgets I don’t want?
-
I recently changed my theme to “mistylook” and now in my sidebar I have, in addition to categories and archives – which I want – meta and blogroll widgets. I can’t get rid of them. When I go to “manage – design – widgets” it tells me I’m not using any widgets. So not only can I not delete the ones I don’t want, I can’t reorder or edit the ones I do. Help?

Thank you! And please consider linking your user name to your blog as explained in the sticky at the top of the forum:
Go into your dashboard -> users -> your profile -> then scroll down to ‘contact info’. In the spot where it says ‘website’ fill in the address of your blog and save the changes.
Now… when you comment here and on other blogs, your name will link to your blog. If you do this before you post your request for help, it will allow forum volunteers to be able to help you quicker since they won’t have to ask you for a link and wait until you come back to post one.As for the widgets – most themes have a sample set of widgets already active in them. In order to do away with the sample, just do into design>widgets and add the ones you want. The others will then disappear.
