Can’t display post on its own page
-
Hi,
I hope it’s okay to post this here, I asked the same question using the support form a week or two ago (I’m not actually sure when, since I have no record of it) but I haven’t received a response yet.
I have a problem with one post on my blog. It displays fine when it’s on a page with a list of posts (even if it’s the only post there), such as on a tag page or in the main feed. You can see it here, for example. But if I try to display the page for that post, I just get ‘Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.’ I know that the URL is correct because it’s the link on the title of the post.
This is not too much of a problem, I just had to get rid of the ‘more’ tag, and when I want to show people the post I can direct them to the page for a tag which only that post has. But this makes it impossible to post a comment on this post, because the comment form is only available from the post page.
I suspect it has to do with the uncommon characters in the post title, but I’ve used less common characters in other post titles without problem. Also, renaming the post does not help (although I guess that’s to be expected, since posts seem to stay at the old URL when they’re renamed.)
Does anybody know how to either fix the problem so that the post can be displayed, or work around it by making it possible to add a comment to it some other way?

You could try changing the permalink.
Go into edit post
Just under the title is permalink
Click edit and backspace a few characters until the unusual characters are no longer part of that link
Save the post again with the new permalink
The characters will still show up in the title but not in the link -
