Can't download photos to my posts anymore.

  I’m one of the administrators of the following blog: http://grossoutwine.wordpress.com/ I’ve changed nothing that I’m aware of, but beginning about two weeks ago I’ve been unable to add photos to my posts. When I click on the Add Media button, it takes me to the Insert Media window, but when I then click on Select Files, it does nothing. Oddly, my fellow administrator is not experiencing this problem. So I have to email my photos to him and have him post them to site. But I’d rather have my system work correctly, so I don’t have to bother him. Help!

  It sounds like you may be running an old browser version to me.

  1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

  2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

  Thanks. Went to “browsehappy” and it says that I’m “using Internet Explorer 9, the latest browser for Windows Vista”. So I assume I can’t upgrade to IE 11. And my Tools dropdown says that “Compatibility View” is not being used (it’s not checked). Guess next time I post I can try using Google Chrome and see what happens.

  IE9 was released in 2011. It’s out of date and is no longer supported here. As you cannot upgrade to IE11, you need to go back to http://browsehappy.com and download another browser.

  Appears to work using Google Chrome, which I already have loaded on my PC. So I just need to remember to use it when posting to WordPress. Thanks for your help, timethief. Trust me….as Ah-nold said, “I’ll be back” if I have any further issues.
