Can’t drag editing modules, Mac Firefox/Safari

Hello, my blog’s editing area lets me choose a one- or two-column layout. I recently switched to a one-column layout, and used “Page Options” to place “Publish,” “Post Tags” and “Post Revisions” below the main editing space.

Now I want to switch back to a two-column layout, but I’m finding it impossible to use the drag-and-drop mechanism to move those three modules into the second column. When I try to drag a module, a space in the second column appears for a split-second, then vanishes again. It happens far too fast for me to release the item in the space.

I’m using Mac OSX Leopard, and I have this problem on both Firefox v3 and Safari v4. Does this feature work better for anyone else on platforms similar to mine?

What you have to do is drag them up and then drag them around high up in the second column until you see a grey outlined box appear. Then you can release the mouse button. I’m using the same setup as you and I can do it, so I know it works.

Wait — I just managed to do it. It’s very tricky, however.

Glad you got it, and yes it is a little finicky.

SacredPath, thanks, that’s what I experienced just now.
