Can’t edit categories – need higher level of permission.

Hi! I’ve recently encountered a problem when I tried editing my wordpress categories on my main domain. I’m the only admin on my site, but when I try to edit a category, a page shows up that says: ‘You need a higher level of permission. Sorry, you are not allowed to edit this item.’ I’m the only admin of my site, so what do I do? I don’t have a premium or business account, since it’s a blog I have to keep for my school. Hope anyone can help, thanks!

Form where are you trying to edit them? The classic dashboard:

or the new interface at:
https://wordpress.com/settings/taxonomies/category/knaep.wordpress.com

I was using the classic dashboard. When I edited on the new interface just now, I didn’t get the error anymore! Thank you :)
